These props are all what I loosely term versions of the sonic screwdriver! They were mostly built for "Earthshock" and were used by Peter Davidson in particular where he is seen trying to defuse the Cyberbomb.

However, they also, got used in Captain Zep: Space Detective, for which I built most of the props & models. Prop No 2 was also used in Blakes 7.

The Cyberlance from "Earthshock" started out life as a camera built for episode 1 of Blakes 7! (see photo23) It was built from perspex and aluminium double-glazing bar! and was very heavy.

The Cyberscope was again built for "Earthshock" (for some reason there were more props done for this story than almost any others)

I had no say in its design and could not understand why something from an alien culture (The Cybermen) looked so much like the control console of the Tardis! It was made from plywood, EMA plastic tube and Perspex.

The vanes around the top of the 3 probes are the sides from several railway turntable "Airfix" kits! The panels had fully functional digital displays. These played a random series of numbers. If you watch "Alien" you will see the same series of numbers appear.
