These are just a few of the many different ray gun/blasters I built for Dr Who over the years. Once again these incorporated garden hose and sprinkler parts. I don't know which story they were used in.

Can anybody tell me please? (The rifles were used in the Tom Baker story Pirate Planet and the pistols were used in the Colin Baker story Vengeance on Varos, many thanks to all who mailed in.)

This is the camera built for Blakes 7 that became the Cyberlance.

The finished Cyberlance

I originally built these guns for a "pop" video. However, the BBC hired them on one occasion for use in Dr Who.They were built of metal and perspex. The larger one was based on a replica "Schmeiser" machine gun!

I designed and built the original Cyberman's gun for "Earthshock" back in 1982. It evolved from some sketched I showed to Visual Effects and I ended up making 8 of these.

This gun was made from a converted air pistol and was used on screen by Beryl Reid..

With the exception of the barrell this gun was built entirely from garden hose equipment.

The troopers guns from "Earthshock" came in 2 slightly different designs. Air rifle butts were used to save time in their construction. A car headlamp bulb was inside the perspex clear tube and lit up when the trigger was pulled. High tech huh!
