Apart from the MOLE, already shown on this website, the FIREFLY was one of the few International Rescue vehicles that appeared in more than one episode. So when the opportunity arose to build a model of this Vehicle I was pleased to make it as it had long been a favourite of mine. However, I could only find 3 photos in my collection of pictures from "Thunderbirds", and so having bought the DVD of the episodes featuring the FIREFLY: "City of Fire" & "Terror in New York City" I started to attempt to produce studio scale drawings before starting the modelling work. But immediately I came upon a problem: the FIREFLY's detailing changes fundamentally even within one episode (presumably as the model got damaged whilst being subjected to all those blazing buildings!) So having studied a whole batch of screen-grabs taken from these episodes and cross referencing them to the screen grabs (some of which can be seen pinned to the wall on picture number 4) I ended up deciding upon one version and sticking to it. The version I chose just happened to be the most complicated!
