As in the original TV series the Global Carrier started life as the Halftrack. I made this in quarter inch balsa wood just as the original was made.

The finished model sits on my workbench NB the rear track assembly is the same as on the Mole, The recovery Vehicle and The Firefly.

As with the original TV series The Halftrack model was later altered to become the Global Carrier. Close examination of the Global Carrier photos show where the parts were added as well as the rear tracks being replaced by wheels.
